Sensei Bill Adams

Hachidan Candidate of 2024

BUTOKUKAN - Seventy-Three years young - Training since 1975

I would like to congratulate the 2024 class of Black Belts.  It is hard to believe that this is my 21st Black Belt class.

I became the owner of the Melrose, MA, Dojo in 2003 when Warren and Michael Chaille retired. At that point, I also became a student of Sensei Durkin. I am grateful for the quality of instructors that I have had over the years. I also take great pride in the quality of students and all of the positive attributes that they bring to the Melrose Dojo. This year, our enrollment has expanded to include three generations of Adams’s studying karate at our dojo, as my granddaughter Jacqueline, has begun her studies of karate and has recently been promoted to purple belt.  I currently hold the rank of 7th degree black belt.

In addition to Uechi Karate, I enjoy spending time with my family, which consists of my wife Karen, my two sons Bill Jr. and Christopher, my Daughters-in-law Jess, and Nicole, and my grand-daughters Jacqueline and Victoria.
